Oneway is a spirit-filled environment for students grade 6-12 at The Torch. The Oneway experience is where a student’s life meets real faith through worship, community groups, service projects, retreats and life development that is designed just for them. Oneway meets in the upstairs sanctuary on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. Join us as we experience student life in a new way!
Torchkids Elementary is a safe, unique environment for 1st through 5th graders to experience God on their level. Energetic worship, visual aids, interactive media, relative skits, and exciting games are all a part of the large group experience on Sunday mornings here at Torchkids. In addition to the large group activities, we also have age appropriate small groups, each equipped with trained adult leaders that pour into the lives of each child allowing the child to connect spiritually and emotionally with a consistent role model.
Wednesday night is a perfect time for Torchkids Boys Club and Torchkids girls Club leaders to develop the next generation of disciples. Children are divided into discipleship classes based on age and gender so that they can fully understand the Bible in a deeper context.
There is a first-time check in station in our main lobby. We will ask for the following personal information: family members' names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. Once we receive this information, you and your child will be directed to their age appropriate area.
We have multiple check in stations for your children. Preschool check in is located in the main lobby and elementary check in is located at the top of the back staircase or there is a self check in station in the main lobby.
You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
We strive to equip and empower those who have been gifted with musical abilities. We seek to work together in unity to create music that leads people into the presence of God. We value authentic worship that glorifies God and inspires people.
Small groups are an important part of The Torch; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As The Torch grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about why we’re big on small groups by attending Growth Track.
At The Torch, we believe in small group ministry. Small groups are the vehicle through which ministry at The Torch takes place.
“The gospel focuses on relationships—in those relationships lives are changed.”
-Pastor Mike Franklin
The larger our church grows, the more important small groups become for handling the pastoral care functions. They provide the personal touch that everyone needs, especially in a crisis. Our small groups run in 3 semesters: Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer. We are currently running the Summer Semester.
Listed below are the available Small Groups offered at The Torch. If you would like to sign up for a group, please do so through our Church Community by clicking here.
We are a movement that equips and empowers young adults to take the reality of God to the world around them. With incredible worship gatherings, small groups, events, activities and outreach, there is something for everyone. We want you to be a part of the community of young adults here at The Torch.
Young Adults converge on The Torch's Demorest Campus in Demorest, GA on the 1st Thursday night of every month at 7pm. These nights are full of creativity, passion, worship, and community.
Our small groups meet all around the community. Small groups meet on the second and fourth Thursday's of the month (times are specific for each group). To get connected to a small group, email Blake at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a current Origin Leader or are interested in becoming a leader, join us for one of our Team Nights for a time of leadership teaching and vision casting. We want to help you discover the areas in which God can use your gifts and talents to serve His Kingdom and the local church. Team nights are held at the Demorest Campus and you can email Blake at email@example.com for upcoming times and dates.
We are passionate about impacting the community around us with the tangible love of Jesus. We do this through small group initiated outreach programs once a month and as a large group once a quarter so keep checking back for the next community outreach opportunity.
Young adults at The Torch get together on the 3rd week of every month just to hang out, sometimes that’s all going to lunch together, sometimes it’s ultimate frisbee at the park, going to a movie, going to a service together or hitting up the local bowling alley. There is always something and some way to get connected to the community of young adults at The Torch so stay connected through social media @origin_thetorch on twitter and Instagram. You can also email us your contact info at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put you on our weekly email update list. We can’t wait to help you get connected, see you soon.
The Torch Worship Center Open Door Food pantry is reaching the community with God's love and kindness. Our volunteers want to help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those we serve. This is being accomplished by Spirit-led people honoring others by supplying food, prayer and extending God's love to them.
