Small Groups for the Winter 2012 session begin January, 29th!
They're bigger than you think!
In times of need and times of fun, The Torch small groups are your source of friendship and support. They are your key to developing connections with those who share your interests or people who are dealing with similar life issues.
Small groups are an opportunity to reach out to other, while growing in your walk with the Lord. Groups meet once a week in homes, businesses, restaurants, or at the church. The groups change and being again two times a year, so you have the opportunity to try out different ones. You'll never fully experience all that The Torch has to offer until you connect in a small group.
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ. - Acts 5:42
Small groups were vital to the church's growth then, and they are just as vital now.
Small groups at The Torch are places where you can connect with people who share your interests, people who are at a similar stage in life and people who have expertise in an area where you would like coaching. There is a wide variety of groups offered. Children and youth meet in groups that address their needs for fun and friends. Young marrieds can join together in activities that nurture their marriages and provide for lifelong friendships. For seniors, there are groups where the skills they've spent a lifetime developing are used to train and serve others.
The small groups offered reflect the people at The Torch and continue to change and develop with the interests and needs of the people.
WHAT ARE THE GROUPS ABOUT?
Our groups are as varied as we are; group leaders use their gifts and passions to create a group that allows others to join with them in serving God. Whatever your age or interest--Bible study, cooking, prayer, missions, running, you name it--we've got a group that's just right for you, and they meet all over town.
WHEN CAN I JOIN ONE?
New groups start four semesters each year. Most groups are open to new members throughout the semester with no signup deadline. Find a group, contact the leader, and get going!
