Stewardship Campaign Our ultimate goal for Making an Impact is to experience God's will for The Torch. Although we have a significant financial challenge, we believe God will make provisions for His work. It is our responsibility to be good and faithful stewards of His work. Due to the blessings of God and the significant growth of the church, it has become imperative that we sharpen and clarify future direction for The Torch. Our classrooms and the children's area are already full, and the sanctuary is almost at capacity each week. There have been many hours spent studying and analyzing sources regarding the expansion of our present facilities. Expansion Needed: This project will include: 1. A new sanctuary to accommodate 1,200 to 1,500 people 2. Additional classroom space with 3. Ministry facility to accommodate 1,500 to 2,000 people
Cost: Between $7 and $10 million dollars Based on the needs of our community and our ability to reach as many people as possible, the projected cost for these additions to The Torch campus will be between 7 and 10 million dollars. Frequently Asked Questions How will the "Making an Impact" campaign work? Each family or individual will be asked to consider making a sacrificial financial commitment for the next three years. Will I be pressured to give? NO! You will be presented with the vision and challenge of the campaign and will be asked to pray about what God would have you to do. Your commitment will never be made public. Should I give weekly, monthly or annually? You should give in the manner which is most convenient for you. Most people find that it is easier and more effective to give on a weekly basis. How will I make my faith commitment? You may turn in a commitment card which is available on this website for your convenience. When will we actually start giving? June 3, 2007 has been designated as "First Fruits Weekend". On that special celebration weekend we will begin bringing our gifts to the Lord. Is it possible to change my commitment once it has been made? You can increase or decrease your commitment anytime during the three-year period. What happens if I fall behind with my pledge? Your commitment is between you and God. No one will contact you concerning your lack of giving. Your contribution statement will reflect how much you have given toward your commitment. Periodically we will be sharing information with you on your overall progress in giving. Please contact the church office anytime you have a question concerning how much you have given (706) 778-4063.
